All the information presented here is my own work, where others have shared information I always try to credit them but I've typed everything here myself so there may be mistakes.  I do not use AI as this is my hobby and I enjoy it, if you want to send me any notes or corrections please use the form below.

I'm Amanda, I live in Liverpool and have an interest in researching men and women of the First World War which has grown from researching the experiences of my own family in The Great War.  Over the past 18 years I have, as a hobby, researched names from memorials, cemeteries, and newspaper articles.  I've taken part in history days at the Museum of Liverpool and various local community events, given talks in schools and shared information with people interested in their relatives, charities looking to commemorate individuals and even been on the local news.

Over the years I've collected quite a few stories, and hundreds of files, and I hope this website will be a good way to share them. My motives for research are based on the need to ensure these stories are remembered and to do that I can't keep them to myself.  I'll also share links to other interesting websites and, by request, some information on how to research the First World War.  My research often goes off on a tangent so the contents of this website are quite varied and worth a browse. I have a backlog of info to upload and new files being collected all the time so it's worth checking back occasionally to see what is new.

Originally, I set this website up to have a members area so that other researchers could log in and add files, it turned out there wasn't enough interest and people preferred to contact me and get an email address to send me info so I've deleted the members area to save time on upkeep.
