Welcome to my website! I can only assume you're here because you searched for something to do with Liverpool and the First World War. I hope you won't be disappointed.

I'm Amanda, I live in Liverpool and have an interest in researching men and women of the First World War which has grown from researching the experiences of my own family in The Great War.  Over the past 15 years I have, as a hobby, researched names from memorials, cemeteries, and newspaper articles.  I've taken part in history days at the Museum of Liverpool and various local community events, given talks in schools and shared information with people interested in their relatives, charities looking to commemorate individuals and even been on the local news!

Over the years I've collected quite a few stories, and hundreds of files, and I hope this website will be a good way to share them. My motives for research are based on the need to ensure these stories are remembered and to do that I can't keep them to myself!  I'll also share links to other interesting websites and, by request, some information on how to research the First World War.

You can find my blog posts using the keywords on the left, through the menu in the blue bar above or using the search bar above that..
