There are 414 individuals from the first and second World Wars commemorated by the CWGC (Commonwealth War Graves Commission) in Allerton Cemetery - either with a CWGC headstone on their grave or with their name inscibed on the screen wall memorial.
I won't post information about them here (although I do have some photographs of the CWGC graves if anyone would like an image) because the CWGC website does an excellent job of presenting their information.

What I have collected are the inscriptions on family headstones that mention loved-ones lost in the war. These inscriptions are very useful for researchers as they give an immediate link to family members and in many cases information is given about their wartime service.
This information has been gathered by walking around the cemetery reading the headstones so I can't guarantee that it is a complete list, as these individuals aren't actually buried in the cemetery they do not appear on the records so there is no way to check other than to keep looking.
After finding the headstones I photographed them and then tried to identify them on the CWGC website - the majority of them will be commemorated or even buried in CWG cemeteries abroad. From there I've gradually added bits of information when I've had time.
