FIRST WORLD WAR LIVERPOOL
A COLLECTION OF RESEARCH PROJECTS BY AMANDA TAYLOR
Allerton Cemetery
Allerton Cemetery has 117 First World War Commemorations, either on CWGC headstones or on the screen walls. You can see details on their website here.

I took the images below of headstones in Allerton Cemetery where they commemorated a casualty of the First World War. Few of these are the burial places for the soldiers and many of them have a headstone or their name inscribed on a memorial overseas. The headstones I present here were a place for local families to commemorate their loved ones in a place they could visit, usually on a family headstone so their name was with those of their parents, siblings or spouses.

I have tried to present the images with some information about the person commemorated.
I hold the copyright for these photos, as the photographer, but I give permission for them to be downloaded and used in your research or family tree records etc. If you could put a credit to this website that would be great.
